Making Long-Form Conversations Easier to Discover

Podcasts have become one of the richest sources of freely shared knowledge on the internet.

Every day, thousands of conversations are published featuring scientists, entrepreneurs, historians, engineers, pilots, doctors, authors, athletes and countless other people sharing their expertise, experiences and ideas. Together, these conversations form an extraordinary archive of human knowledge.

The challenge is no longer creating great conversations.

The challenge is discovering what is inside them.

A podcast episode title and description can only reveal a small part of what was discussed. A three-hour conversation may explore dozens of topics, introduce new ideas, reveal personal experiences and uncover valuable insights that are never mentioned in the episode metadata.

As podcasting continues to grow, the amount of valuable information available is increasing faster than our ability to find it.

SkipClips exists to help solve that problem.

Rather than treating every podcast episode as an isolated recording, SkipClips helps organise conversations around the people, topics and ideas they contain. By analysing podcast content and creating additional structure around it, SkipClips makes it easier to discover relevant discussions, explore related topics and understand what a conversation contains before investing hours into listening.

The goal is not to replace the original podcast. The original conversation is where the value exists.

Instead, SkipClips helps people find those conversations.

Long-form podcasts are valuable because they capture more than just information. They capture experiences, opinions, stories, uncertainty and the way people think. Making those conversations easier to discover helps more people access the knowledge they already contain.

SkipClips is completely independent and is not affiliated with any podcast network, streaming platform or content creator.

The idea for SkipClips began with a simple frustration: finding interesting podcast conversations was harder than it should be. Existing platforms were designed around shows and episodes, but often provided little insight into the actual discussions taking place inside them. Titles were limited, descriptions were inconsistent and valuable moments were often buried inside hours of audio.

There needed to be a better way to explore long-form conversations.

Today, SkipClips continues to grow into a searchable knowledge base built around podcasts, guests and the ideas they share. The long-term vision is simple: help people discover, understand and connect the remarkable conversations that are already being created every day.
